Meet Vickii Gervais

I am a homebirth midwife licensed by the Medical Board of California and have been attending homebirths since 1988. I was previously licensed as a midwife in the states of Texas and New Mexico, credentialed as a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) by the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) and certified as a lactation consultant by the International Board of Certified Lactation Examiners (IBCLC). I am committed to women discovering themselves during their pregnancies to reaffirm their inherent strength to birth their babies gently and powerfully. I believe a peaceful, gentle birth experience helps create stronger families and healthier individuals for our future.

As well as practicing midwifery, I graduated with a Master’s of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego and am a Licensed Acupuncturist in the State of California and also nationally certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (acupuncture and herbal medicine) by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

I enjoy treating a wide variety of conditions and specialize in women’s health.

I believe that a significant amount of our physical strife manifests from internalization of emotional and psychological disharmony, so I incorporate work in those areas as well. You don’t have to be unwell or have pain to enjoy acupuncture’s relaxing, balancing effects; regular treatments help to boost the immune system and prevent ill health as well.

At Wild Harmony Wellness, I have merged my existing midwifery practice into my work as an acupuncturist and herbal medicine specialist. Midwifery is often called the world’s oldest profession while acupuncture and Chinese medicine have a history dating back at least 2000 years. Together, I blend these ancient arts to offer optimal care for families at all stages of life. Several health practitioners work out of Wild Harmony Wellness to bring you a variety of wellness options.
